Frequently asked questions
What’s the Gamechangers Video Podcast about?
The Gamechangers Video Podcast brings stories of people, ideas and technologies aimed at making the world a better and more sustainable place. We focus on the amazing work being done by engineers, scientists, CEOs and others to take us to a brighter tomorrow. And by doing so, we hope to contribute to accelerating the changes each story can bring.
What inspired the Gamechangers Video Podcast?
We started this podcast to help strike more of a balance in today’s media picture, bringing more light and hope to everyone by helping to tell stories that are positive, and helping to get the word out faster about promising steps forward. And that’s why the podcast’s tagline is “Igniting hope. Accelerating change.”
How is the Gamechangers Video Podcast different to other content/channel choices?
Today’s audiences primarily consume content via videos and podcasts. We combine both into the most modern form of podcast – the video/audio format that enables people to view and/or listen to content in their own way, at the time of their choosing, and while multi-tasking.
The fresh, relaxed style of the Gamechangers Video Podcast also helps to get the people who really know the story (engineers or scientists) to tell it without the usual robot-like script delivery and a deer-in-headlights stare. And it helps executives to tell their story in an engaging, credible way – one that minimizes corporate propaganda and becomes compelling content that audiences actually want to engage with.
What’s the format of the show?
Typically, we invite two guests from your company. Ideally, both are of have been part of the game-changing journey, and are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their game-changing initiative.
Who is the audience for the show?
The Gamechangers Video Podcast is primarily aimed at everyone who is curious – or whose curiosity could be sparked by our guests. Though based in Denmark, the show is primarily in English, reflecting our focus on gamechangers not just within Denmark, but for the world at large.
Why are video podcasts now more popular than audio podcasts?
Podcasting is an increasingly popular pastime in the U.S with 79 percent of respondents being aware of the format, while over 82 million people listened to podcasts in 2021. This number is estimated to rise even further, reaching over 100 million listeners in 2024. In October 2022, a survey on podcast consumption in the United States showed that among all generations except Gen X, podcasts with video were the preferred format. And among millennials, 43 percent of respondents stated that they preferred a podcast with video.
How do we know if our game-changing initiative is right for the show?
To be on the Gamechangers video podcast, the idea, initiative or technology must be a game-changer in terms of sustainability, though it could be big or small, e.g., new ways of installing offshore wind turbines, new nanotech materials, new ways to reduce consumption, new industry-wide collaborations, etc. It can still be under development, or already launched and looking to become widespread. If you’re not sure, contact us to discuss it!
What questions will you ask?
While the show does have some standard questions we ask of every guest, the hosts prefer to encourage a natural, authentic conversation – which is why we don’t forward a list of questions to guests beforehand. Typically, questions revolve around:
- How did the idea come up?
- How are you telling the story about your game-changer?
- First memory of a technology that stands out for you?
- Why do you do what you do?
- What does it take to realize the full potential of this initiative/technology?
- How does it work?
- Competing technologies?
- What does it take to succeed with this?
- Who was or is involved?
- What would happen if the technology wasn’t there?
- How does or will this help the world?
- What does it mean for you personally?
- What are the components of the solution?
Our people aren’t used to being on camera – how do you make it easier for them?
The Gamechangers Video Podcast is hosted by two experienced technology and sustainability storytellers who can tease a great story out of even the most awkward engineers and camera-shy executives – in a lively, relaxed discussion that puts the spotlight on innovations and the people that make them possible.
Do we get to review the episode before it’s published?
Yes. We help you to prepare for the interview, then edit the recording for optimal storytelling power and present it for your review (to make sure you’re comfortably on message). As a media platform, we can’t guarantee to implement all the changes you might like, but we are certainly sensitive to properly positioning the story both for our listeners and for your organization.
Where is the episode recorded?
Each 30-minute, around-the-table episode is recorded in a mobile studio van that comes right to your door. It’s an intimate, casual interview environment recorded on the latest podcasting and videoing equipment. And if you have something cool to show in your lab or workshop, we can even jump out of the van and catch the action as you show us around!
How much time should we set aside for the recording?
We recommend setting aside two hours on the day – that allows time for preparation, re-takes, out-of-studio recordings and so on, to make sure we get all the footage to make your episode great.
How is the episode promoted?
The Gamechangers video podcast will appear on Spotify and Youtube and be widely promoted via social media. And you can promote it via your company’s own LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
How can I make the most of our appearance on the show?
Use your episode to educate and inspire employees, customers, investors and potential talent, or for onboarding new team members. They can watch the show or just listen to the audio-only version while hiking, biking, reproducing, etc.
How should our representatives prepare to be interviewed?
For every episode, we set up a physical or Teams meeting to go through the show format together with the guests – and, if appropriate, representatives from your marketing department. Here you get a chance to ask any questions and discuss the process.
What should guests wear?
- Choose solid colors, especially medium to dark shades.
- Avoid extremely bright or flashy colors.

- Opt for a neckline that’s neither too high nor too low.
- Ensure your clothing is clean, well-pressed, and free of wrinkles.

- Keep accessories minimal and non-distracting.
